Making Money With Paid Online Surveys | Millionaire Business Articles

?

There are a wide variety of ways to make money on the Internet these days. One of the first and most prominent ways is by completing paid online surveys. The tradition of making money through surveys has gone on longer than the Internet, ever since people began paying test subjects on college campuses for studies. These days with enough memberships to enough sites it?s possible to make quite a bit of money taking surveys on the Internet.

The Websites

The first thing to know about making money online through surveys is that there are a lot of websites offering them. There are dozens of viable and legitimate websites that offer surveys with compensation. Virtually any site that offers surveys that pay will collect basic information before any surveys can be taken. If a site offers surveys and promises compensation without asking for contact information, it?s likely a scam. There is always the possibility of scams in any method of making money online, so use judgement when registering.

Every website is unique in their method of operation. Some will offer dozens of surveys a day, but will leave a taker unqualified for the majority of them. Others will gather basic demographic information and then only send along surveys that a taker is likely to qualify for. This is why it?s beneficial to register for multiple sites at once.

The Compensation

Compensation for various online surveys ranges from pennies per answer to raffle tickets to gift cards. Some companies will set a dollar figure for each survey and add that amount to your account upon successful completion of the survey. Other sites will list each survey with a number of points, and convert those points into money or prizes. Still others will flag each survey with a number of entries in a prize drawing.

Each method of compensation has benefits and drawbacks. Sites that offer money for each survey are up-front with the earnings, but offer little else in the way of benefits. Sites that offer points will often allow the purchase of items with those points beyond cash. For example a site that ranks 10 points as one dollar might offer a $25 gift card for only 150 or 200 points. These sites allow you to maximize your earnings, as long as you are willing to use the gift cards they provide. Sites that offer raffle tickets and drawings offer the possibility of huge payouts on the order of hundreds of dollars per survey. Unfortunately, like the lottery, the chances of winning the payout are slim.

The Demographics

Different demographics have different average payments for surveys online. Minorities often can provide more valuable information to studies, and might find themselves qualifying for more than the average young white male. Likewise, different income levels, genders, family sizes and other metrics have different rates of qualification. It all depends on what the people holding the surveys are looking for.

That?s not to say that the average young white male won?t make any money with online surveys. It?s simply a fact that certain demographics tend to qualify for more surveys. That said, never lie on a survey. This skews the data, makes the results valueless, and risks having the account banned. Taken properly, online surveys are a method to earn respectable amounts of money.
