NFL injury report: Cowboys' DeMarco Murray avoids serious injury

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a scare during Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, as starting running back DeMarco Murray suffered a foot injury early in the second half.

Fortunately for Murray and the Cowboys, X-rays came back negative on Murray's foot, and it is believed that the running back only suffered a strain. Murray will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Murray finished the game with 93 yards on 14 carries -- most of which coming in the first half. Felix Jones filled in for Murray, rushing 18 times for 92 yards and one touchdown.

Cowboys linebacker Sean Lissemore suffered a right ankle injury during Dallas' loss on Sunday. X-rays came back negative on the ankle, but Lissemore believes he suffered a high ankle sprain, and more tests will come Monday.

Jason Garrett and his coaching staff will hope that Murray and Lissemore will be available next weekend, when the Cowboys head to Carolina to take on the Panthers.
