Manufacturing and designing mineral processing and liquid separation equipment, our client holds a strong position within the liquid separation field. Their solutions include:

  • Filtration
  • Sedimentation
  • Screening
  • Flotation
  • Flocculant Solutions

  • Industrial
  • Minerals
  • Chemical

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially oversee 4 x BDM?s spanning Australia however your remit will expand to include 14 x staff spanning Africa, Thailand, and China
  • Hands-on business development across the mineral processing / mining sector
  • Performance management of existing sales team
  • Budget development and P & L responsibility
  • Coaching, mentoring and training responsibility
  • Negotiate volume and price point of solutions
  • Present value proposition in a face to face format
  • Discuss terms of business and gain acceptance
  • Attend regular sales meetings with direct report?
  • Report on sales activity, pipeline and forecast
  • Adhere to revenue deliverables across given territory
  • Liaise with leadership team in relation to strategy
  • Assist with project management post implementation
  • Review and complete service level agreements
  • Maintain records of opportunities progressing

Skills required:

  • Ideally sales management experience across a metallurgical or chemical environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Outstanding leadership capability
  • Strong negotiation skills ? an ability to influence buying behaviour at a senior level
  • Proven success navigating through the bureaucratic and political complexities of mineral processing entities
  • The ability to negotiate, persuade and influence Management staff that are accountable for their own budget. They are influencers within their organisation and essentially have the responsibility to sign off on such solutions
  • The willingness to leverage reference points within established clients and cross pollinate
  • A sound understanding of mining new business sales cycles and complexities
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • A driving need to help others; identifying gaps, presenting value and appropriate solution
  • Outcomes orientated by nature
  • Excellent financial management skills
  • An individual that takes personal liability for outcomes generated
