James Beard Foundation Awards 2012 Semifinalists announced

The semifinalists for the James Beard Foundation awards were announced today with a total of nine recognitions for South Florida and eight from other areas of Florida. The JBF Awards are the highest honor for food and beverage professionals working in North America; which?include all aspects of the industry: chefs, restaurateurs, cookbook authors, food journalists, restaurant designers and architects.

On Monday March 19 the final nominees will be announced. On May 7 the?winners will be honored at a gala awards ceremony at Lincoln Center?s Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.?Tickets to attend the ceremony go on sale Monday, March 19, Awards Box Office 914.231.6180.
